General Info

The Red River Rumble GT will feature the latest ruleset for Marvel Crisis Protocol (Friday) and The Old World (Saturday & Sunday).

For MCP, Factions will be constructed using the base army book that comes in the Core Set. There will be erratas and amendments that can be found on Atomic Mass Games website. For the GT, we’ll use the latest erratas that have been officially released by Atomic Mass. The standard 10 characters, 10 Team Tactic Cards, and both 3 Secure and Extraction Crisis Cards should be brought by all players participating in the GT.

For The Old World, armies are to be constructed using army books that are officially released Games Workshop (Ravening Hordes, Forces of Fantasy, and the Old World Rulebook). Army lists will be no more than 2,000 points.

The Red River Rumble GT is Open List.

The most current rule set of Marvel Crisis Protocol and The Old World rules and FAQs will be used. If there are issues and updates that are close to the start of the GT then I’ll make a decision and let everybody know what will be used for the weekend.

100% completely painted armies are very much encouraged, however, it is not required. Please note that YOU CANNOT WIN BEST OVERALL IF YOU COME TO THE RED RIVER RUMBLE GT WITH AN UNPAINTED ARMY! This is one that we stress. You are still eligible to win Best General with an unpainted army but it is impossible to bring home Best Overall with an unpainted army.

All lists must be submitted no later than March 14, 2025 and must be in some form of readable format (Army Builder, Word, Excel, PDF, etc – No hand written lists please.)

Remember to include on your army list the lore of your wizards (if you have any).

What You See Is What You Get

While there are some instances where this is not that big of a deal, please do not try to use Skeletons as Zombies, Goblins as Black Orcs, or Gnoblars as Ogre Bulls. This shouldn’t have to be explained in great detail. If you have a unit of 40 Empire Halberdiers, make sure you have the appropriate models to represent them. Conversions need to be simple and easily explained should your opponent have a question about what the models is wielding / wearing / holding and Unit Fillers are fine as long as it doesn’t create unnecessary confusion.

Sportsmanship

For all of us here in Oklahoma (and apart of B.A.W.G.S.), sportsmanship has been and always will be paramount in the tabletop gaming scene. We have always prided ourselves on being great sportsmen to each other and every person we encounter along the way. While it’s impossible to expect that people will be best friends at the end of a match, it can be expected that both sides end in a gentlemanly (or ladylike) fashion and shake hands, fist bump, or something of the like. Needless to say, Sportsmanship will be graded at the Red River Rumble GT (it counts as ~20%) and will count towards your Overall Score.
