– We will be using the latest points adjustments / rules updates that were made in the latest 9th Age update. Download the latest army books, rule book, and arcane compendium to get the latest points changes. 

– Open Bar! I’ll have a bartender available all weekend long and you can enjoy mimosas, beer, liquor and whatever else we can find and it’s all included in your entry fee! Please remember to drink responsibly and make sure to tip your bartender / waitress!!

– Olde World Trivia!! Brush up on your knowledge of Warhammer and 9th Age lore because Olde World Trivia is back! Throughout the entire weekend I’ll randomly be asking trivia about the lore of the world and the first person that can answer correctly will be rewarded with a gift card! Just like that! I’ll be doing this as long as I have gift cards so make sure to do some studying!

– Raffles / Prizes! All weekend long you can put in your raffle tickets on various boxed sets / blisters / models and at the end of the GT we’ll draw all the winners! When you sign up you get 3 raffle tickets and each ticket after that is only $1 each! For every 5 you buy you’ll get a 6th one for free!!

– Custom Apparel! I’ll have various colors and sizes of RRRGT apparel for sale and will be for sale as long as supplies last. I’m not taking pre-orders on any of this because I’m not sure how many I can have made on time. If interested these shirts and hoodies will be available at the judge’s table as long as they last! I’m not certain on pricing yet but they’ll be affordable, I can assure you that. Also, I will be accepting credit and debit cards for anybody that would like to purchase apparel or raffle tickets all weekend long.

This Grand Tournament is one of the best you’ll ever attend – you have my word on that. We’ll have an open bar all weekend long, raffles, custom dice and coasters, apparel, swag, video games, board games, and so much more. We’re just about 3 weeks from go time and I’m very excited to bring you the 5th Annual Red River Rumble GT! There’s still 2 spots left so if you’re on the fence let’s make it happen and get signed up so we can max out at 34 people! Right now we’re at an all time  high with 32!! Who’s gonna take this trophy home??

Here’s what you can expect for the 5th Annual Red River Rumble GT:

– We will be using the latest points adjustments / rules updates that were made in the latest 9th Age update. Download the latest army books, rule book, and arcane compendium to get the latest points changes. 

– Army Lists are due on March 11!! The due date is next Friday for your army lists! Please have them into me on time! I’m going  to try to do a list review and I need to run them all through New Recruit and start setting up for first round pairings so hook me up and get your list in on time. I’m using New Recruit this year and the GT is listed on their website. You need to use your Discord name and sign up for the GT through their New Recruit website. The GT is located here. Please sign up for New Recruit, locate the Red River Rumble GT link on their website and sign up! So far there’s only 11 people to have done this. Please do this before next Friday!!

Well, we’re getting closer! In exactly one month from today we’ll be kicking off the 5th Annual Red River Rumble GT! Friday night the festivities will begin and you can show up and set up your armies, have a beer, hang out and enjoy general shenanigans at the hotel or any of the restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. It’s going to be great!

Fine tune those lists and make sure you’re using the latest updates from the 9th Age website and then get em sent over to me through New Recruit. If you haven’t signed up yet please do so! Here’s the latest for the Red River Rumble GT 2022! We are just about 6 weeks away from kicking off the 2022 GT circuit and I’m thankful that you’re going to be apart of it!! Reminder that I’ve expanded to 34 players and there are currently 32 paid generals in as of right now, which means there’s 2 spots remaining! Claim em!!!

– Army Lists are due!! Don’t forget to submit your army list to redriverrumblegt@gmail.com by March 11th!! I understand life happens so if you can’t meet the deadline please reach out to me prior! I don’t want to mark anybody down but anybody that blatantly turns in a late list will be docked 5 points from their overall score. So please just get your lists updated and get them sent over to me as soon as you can! Also, this year, I’d like to use the New Recruit format and will even upload the GT into their tournament system. That said, please plan to utilize New Recruit when it comes to building and submitting your army lists. If you have questions about this or have never used it please reach out to me and I’m happy to help you. Having a single format for all army lists is really helpful for the T.O. so I appreciate your assistance on this!

– Olde World Trivia!! This year I’m bringing back the Olde World Trivia!! As you know, the 9th Age is filled with tons of lore that goes back thousands of years and the history of the Olde World spans all races and continents!! Look back into your old Warhammer books as well as the current 9th Age books and get familiar with the history of the world! Throughout the entire weekend I’ll be asking random questions pertaining to the Olde World – both 9th Age and Warhammer – and whoever can answer the questions correctly first will be given random gift cards!! I will have a ton of gift cards for restaurants, gas, and shopping venues that I’ll be handing out specifically for Olde World Trivia! I’ll plan to ask a random question every 30 to 45 minutes so make sure your know your history!!

– New Appearance Awards! I’ve updated the amount of Best Appearance awards from 1 to 3. There will now be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Best Appearance!

– Custom Apparel! Take a look at this hoodie I had embroidered with the RRRGT logo!! I’ll have a handful of these available for raffle / sale over the weekend in various sizes and colors! Lemme know if you want one! They’ll be around $30 each.

Don’t forget that we’ll have an open bar, plenty of prizes and gift cards that’ll be handed out all weekend long, custom dice, apparel, and much more and it all begins on Friday night! After talking with the hotel we were able to expand the third room to give tons more space and allow us to open up the gaming hall. Because of this, the GT has officially expanded from 30 players to 34 players! We are at 31 as of the typing of this post but that’s bound to change very soon. So if you or anybody you know is interested in attending the biggest and best RRRGT ever then now’s the time to do so. There are 3 spots open and this GT will sell out!

It’s official, everybody! As of today we are officially sold out for the Red River Rumble GT 2022!  And to add to that we also have 3 people on the wait list. If I can generate enough interest then I’ll talk to the hotel about opening up the third room so that we can accommodate more players. As of right now, though, the player list is capped at 30 players… so because of this I’m having to make some decisions based on the amount of people on the wait list. For everybody who is on the “Who’s In” list, if you haven’t paid, please do so by 1/28/2022 in order to save you spot. If that day comes and you haven’t paid then you’ll be dropped from the list in order to allow other players on the wait list to get in on the action. If you pay and something comes up in your life it’s no biggie… you have until February 18th to get a full refund.

Wanted to let everybody know that as of the typing of this post we are now at 26 of 30 total participants for the Red River Rumble GT 2022! The previous record was 20 people at the first ever RRRGT back in 2017 and we are hoping to shatter that with at least 10 more people! It looks like this event will sell out so if you or somebody you know is on the fence then now’s the time to get signed up to reserve yourself a spot!

What can you expect at the RRRGT 2022? Open bar. Custom dice. Free prizes and giveaways all weekend long. Five great games with a few custom scenarios. Shenanigans and hanging with great gamers all weekend long. The hotel has asked that if you bring in your own booze to have some type of small ice chest to keep it in. We are allowed to have booze in the venue hall as well as our own rooms. As stated, I’ll still have mixers, beer, shots, etc that anybody can take advantage but if you have something you’d like to bring for yourself then feel free to do that!

Just a quick update to remind everybody that the Red River Rumble GT 2022 registration is ongoing!
