It’s official! The 5th Annual Red River Rumble GT will be back and better than ever in March 2022! Read on to find out all the information that you need!

Thank you to everybody who participated in last years GT and helped to make it great. Now it’s time to get back to it and kick off the 2022 Grand Tournament Circuit with the Red River Rumble GT 2022!

This year, we’ve changed venues and it will be held in the Holiday Inn OKC Airport hotel. This is an updated, modern hotel with tons of amenities as well as walking distance to plenty of restaurants and hangouts! The venue is located about 3.5 miles from the airport for all of you folks that will be flying in. There is no shuttle but an Uber drive will be fairly cheap to get there! If you plan to stay at the Holiday Inn during the GT then take advantage of the $89/night rate that they’re offering to anybody who will be attending the GT. When booking please mention “Miniatures Tournament, Red River Rumble GT”. For anybody else that wants to stay elsewhere please do a quick google search and you’ll find tons of other hotels within walking distance.

GT Info:

The dates for the Red River Rumble GT 2022 are official – March 18-20, 2022. I went ahead and moved the GT from February to March because it works better for my personal schedule and will hopefully work for yours as well. I’m also hoping it’s warmer during March and we get some good weather for the weekend. Entry fee is $50 and that price will never change!

If you’ve never been to either this GT or the Wicked GT then you’re truly missing out on one of the best GT experiences you can get. Five games throughout the weekend, tons of raffles and prizes handed out, open bar, custom prizes and gaming accessories, and lots of shenanigans that take place throughout the weekend. Make sure to sign up so that you can be apart of this amazing GT experience!

Open Bar:

One change to this year’s GT will be the Open Bar. I’ll still have a small setup that anybody who has entered into the GT can take advantage of, however, you can also BYOB if you’d like. The hotel has asked that if you bring in your own booze to have some type of small ice chest to keep it in. We are allowed to have booze in the venue hall as well as our own rooms. As stated, I’ll still have mixers, beer, shots, etc that anybody can take advantage but if you have something you’d like to bring for yourself then feel free to do that!

I want to give a huge shoutout for making this past weekend a massive success!! The drinks were flowing, dice were rolling, and there was a lot of bloodshed (on the tabletop) all weekend long! It turned out to be an awesome weekend! Lots of laughs and cries as 16 players battled it out to be crowned Overall Champion of the 4th Annual Red River Rumble GT! Congrats to all of the winners!

Just letting everybody know that we’re just a few short hours away from kicking off the 4th Annual Red River Rumble GT! I want to take a second to thank everybody who is making the trip for the weekend to make this whole thing possible. I know things have been very difficult over the last year with COVID-19 so it warms my heart to be able to kick this thing off on time and as safe as we possibly can. I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been itching to play some tabletop games again!

If you’re in town stop by the venue after 5PM today and hang out. Get your army set up, grab a drink, and hang out as we get ready to drop dice first thing in the morning!

Quick update to let everybody know that all army lists have now been received! We’ll be doing an army review this evening and I’ll post the link to view it after it’s been edited and ready to go! Thank you to everybody for getting your army lists in! I’ll also post them all to this website as well. You’ll be able to find them on the “Who’s In” page of the website.

The 4th Annual Red River Rumble GT is just a few days away! Get there Friday night and get pre-registered so you can pick up your SWAG as well as get your army ready for battle! First round pairings will be posted in the venue but here they are as well!

Quick update to let everybody know that the SWAG has arrived! All of this will be either raffled out or given away over the weekend of the 4th Annual Red River Rumble GT!!

Registration is now ongoing for the Red River Rumble GT 2021! That’s right! In early 2021 you can come be apart of one of the best GTs around! There are always prizes and raffles throughout the weekend, catered lunch on Saturday, and the open bar until we run out of booze! If you’ve never been to this GT then make sure to ask around any other plays that have and you’ll see why this is one of the best ones! Don’t miss out!

As of the writing of this post we have 10 generals signed up and ready to do battle! The cost per player has gone down to $45/player and that still includes everything listed above. We’ll make sure to post any new coronavirus news over the next few weeks to ensure everybody is up to date on any restrictions we might have in place. As of now, we’ll require masks, will have plenty of hand sanitizer available, and will utilize social distancing all weekend long as the tables will be spread out big time. Safety is #1 and I want to make sure everybody leaves the RRR GT 2021 the same way that they showed up. Come be apart of this great GT and let’s get some more generals signed up!

Even though the coronavirus has made life hard for every single person on earth we are still planning to move forward with the official announcement of the Red River Rumble GT 2021! I realize that for all of us, the way we live our lives has been altered and to have small things like playing table top games has had to take a backseat, however, if we can make it through the next few months and come out ok then the 4th annual Red River Rumble GT will go on as planned!

Barring anything catastrophic the RRR GT 2021 will take place over the weekend of February 26-28, 2021 in the exact same venue as last year. Also, we’ll be providing lunch as last year and of course we’ll have the open bar!

One new thing this year – the entry fee has gone down to $45 per participant! We still plan to have unique scenarios, handouts, raffles, and so much more so if you’ve never been to this GT before then make sure you’re there this year! You definitely do not want to miss out!!! If you have any questions please email or text me and we’ll get them taken care of! I can’t wait to have the 4th annual Red River Rumble GT and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again!

The weekend has come and gone and it was a blast! We were able to get 18 total generals and had some truly epic games take place over the weekend! There were laughs and cries and in the end one general was able to walk away as the Red River Rumble GT 2020 Champion!!
